Ryan received his Bachelors of Science in Architecture from The University of Maryland in 2012 before coming to New York City to earn his Master of Architecture from The City College of New York in 2016.   He specializes in 3D modeling and parametric design, particularly using Grasshopper and its various plug-ins to perform structural, environmental, thermal, and daylighting analysis, in order to produce a data-driven, responsive architectural result.  He has an affinity for structural design and detailing, and his academic works reflect his interests in both structure and responsive, parametric design.

Ryan has worked on a variety of projects in his professional career.  In his time with The Mufson Partnership, Ryan worked on many residential projects, corporate interiors, landlord pre-builts, retail showrooms, and retail stores.  He was part of a team working on the GIII Apparel Group brands, including Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, GH Bass, Karl Lagerfeld, and more.  At his current job with Buro Ehring Engineering PC, Ryan is involved in projects ranging from restaurants, art installations, facade design, and urban planning, creating structural drawings and BIM models, and creating parametric scripts to perform finite element analysis in SAP2000 of complex geometries, as well as Thermal and Hygrothermal analysis.  He is also greatly involved in the company's marketing strategies, business development, and management.

Ryan grew up in Germantown, Maryland and currently resides in Astoria, Queens with his girlfriend Saoirse.  In his free time, he enjoys film and movies, working out, Washington Redskins football, visiting his family and friends in Maryland, and exploring all the architectural wonders that New York City has to offer.
