New building for the Korean American Presbyterian Church of Queens, adjacent to the existing Church in Flushing, Queens. The new structure will provide a predominant sanctuary, rehearsal space, office space, class rooms, a multi-purpose fellowship space, and a roof garden for the Church community. BüroEhring is providing full structural engineering services for the project. The design features the entire building being lifted one story off the ground plane to provide for a majestic entry, and a double height, column-less sanctuary space for 450 guests.
Responsibilities Include: Drafted all structural drawing sets for the project, from Schematic Design through Construction Documents. Created 3D frame models for finite element analysis of the superstructure. Served as primary point of contact between structural engineering and architectural design teams.
